Our New School Location
During the summer holidays 2012, we will move to our new premises. They will be situated at Wendenstraße in Hamburg directly along the fleet. The new campus is in the neighborhood of the Hafencity and is conveniently placed regarding transport facilities nearby Berliner Tor and not far from Hauptbahnhof. As of then, we will be offering bilingual education (German/English) on a whole day basis for children from 1,5 years of age.
Concretely, we are planning to begin with care centers for children from 1,5 to 5 years, reception classes for 5 and 6 year olds and a Primary School for grades 1 to 4. Furthermore, the building allows enough room for a Phorms Secondary School which started with grade 5 in August 2011.
The U-formed building will offer all our children enough room to play in a secure atmosphere. Therefore, all playing areas (KiTa, playing field for ball games, climbing apparatus etc.) are inlayed within the building. Our school will have its own school kitchen and canteen and a big hall for activities on the 1st floor as well as bright and spacious rooms for the Hort children before and after school.
Sports will be held in cooperation with the Betriebssportverband Hamburg in their own three-field-gym and, additionally, we are planning a multifunctional sports field along the idyllic fleet grounds. The transfer to and from school to the sports facilities will take place by bus shuttle which will also take our students to the nearby Alster swimminghall.
The move to the new premises will also mean a start to the first Phorms school bus. For more information you can go to "Location and Facilities".
