The structure of lessons is defined by a number of regulations issued by the Authority for Schools and Vocational Training of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

Regular lessons are typically scheduled as two-hour sessions, and the school year consists of two half-year terms. We have adapted the prescribed syllabus to suit our needs. Much more English teaching takes place than stipulated in the compulsory timetable, and form tutors use certain periods to discuss social issues with their class and to practise certain behaviours and learning methods.
