Qualifications | Phorms Hamburg

All students sit their first school-leaving examinations at the end of year 10 with the Mittlerer Schulabschluss (MSA, similar to GCSEs). A two-year course of study in the upper school then leads to the Abitur (similar to A levels), which is a general qualification for university entrance.

At the same time, we offer high achievers in the upper school the option of studying for the Advanced Placement program. This allows students to complete college-level courses and to obtain AP certification. As a result, students are able to earn important credits for a later university degree while they are still attending secondary school, thus increasing their chances of being admitted to many universities in Germany and overseas.
