Our school shuts only for three weeks during the year, the exact dates you may find in our school calendar. We cover reliably all bridging days.
We usually devote our attention to one specific topic per week which we then work on together with the children. When we tackled the topic “Making things out of paper”, for example, the children visited the museum to view Egyptian papyrus rolls and created their own Egyptian masks. During our “Nordic week”, we explored the world of the Vikings and the topic “Discovering Hamburg” involved trips to some of the city’s cultural institutions. Care support is mostly provided by our teaching assistants who are supported in some cases by trained PE, art or handicrafts teachers.
We announce our holiday care periods at the beginning of the school year. Students may use the offered care on a daily or weekly basis as required.
The participation of the holiday programme is bookable per week. For each week we ask for a contribution of 120 Euros, income contingent discounts can be provided upon request. The contribution is in accordance with the charges for „Ganztägige Bildung und Betreuung an Schulen“ set by the City of Hamburg. Some extra charges may apply for entrance fees or working materials. External students may also take part in the programme if we have enough capacities. Please contact us if you are interested.
