Our Admission Process and Registration

We regularly admit children to our new year 1 classes as well as to higher year groups in our bilingual primary school. Admission during the school year is possible, provided there are places available.

Our Admission Process
in Detail

1. Online Registration

  1. Please fill out our registration form online. The registration is non-binding, and we will contact you directly after reviewing your information to discuss the next steps. We may request additional documents, such as certificates or reports.

2. Personal Introduction

  1. We look forward to meeting with you and to answering any questions which may have arisen. You will have the opportunity to tour our facilities and learn more about our educational concepts and care models at Phorms. We would love to get to know your child personally through a trial day, giving both sides the chance to determine whether the Phorms concept is the right fit. During this day, children will complete small, age-appropriate tasks and have the opportunity to interact with their future classmates.

3. Our Offer to You

  1. We will inform you via email about the availability of a place in our primary school. If you choose us, you will receive the care contract by post. Once you return the signed contract, your child will be officially welcomed to our Phorms primary school!

Newcomers are very welcome.

Late registrations are also welcome. If places are available, we can quickly organise trial days and a parent meeting for mutual introduction. Please feel free to contact us. For families living abroad who cannot arrange trial days on-site, we offer an alternative admission process.«

Costs
for Our Bilingual Primary School

  • 1. Registration Fee

After signing the contract, we charge a one-time administration fee of €250 per child.

  • 2. Monthly School Fees

The monthly school fee is €250 per child. If multiple children from one family attend the Phorms Campus Hamburg, we offer the following discounts: 25% off for the second child, 50% for the third child, and 75% for the fourth child.

Families with a gross annual income of less than €40,000 can apply for a reduced school fee of €50 per month.

  • 3. Catering Costs

All Phorms students eat the school lunch. The meals are freshly prepared at the school by “Bio für Kids” and are charged at €80 per month. For a further contribution of €11 per month, sugar-free drinks and a healthy afternoon snack can be provided.

Sibling discounts and income-based fee reductions are also available upon request.

  • 4. Material Costs

Learning materials are provided by the school. For this, we charge a monthly fee of €5 per student. Additionally, depending on the year group, a fee of €20-80 is charged at the beginning of the school year to cover individual learning materials.

  • 5. Full-Day Care (After-School Care)

If you wish, your child can be cared for by our staff both before school (from 7:30 am) and after school (until 6 pm). The care fee is in addition to the monthly school fee. The standard rate for one hour of daily after-school care is €30 per month.

Income-based fee reductions and sibling discounts of one-third to 50%, depending on the number of children, are also available upon request.

  • 6. Holiday Care

Holiday care is available at the Phorms Campus Hamburg during 9 of the 12 weeks of school holiday each year.

The holiday weeks are booked at the start of the school year and cost €120 per week. A flexible week of care can also be booked. This also costs €120 but offers you 6 days which you can use individually or consecutively.

  • 7. Please also note these additional costs

Additional costs may arise throughout the school year for purchasing school uniforms, contributions to school trips, and, if applicable, for optional afternoon courses that require a fee.

  • 8. Payment Method

All fees are payable in 12 monthly instalments. All contributions are collected in advance via direct debit from the specified account on the first working day of the month. At the same time, an invoice detailing the contributions will be sent by email.

  • 9. Tax Deductibility

Up to two-thirds of the costs of the parental contributions and Friends’ Association fees may be tax-deductible as childcare expenses. Please consult your tax advisor for specific advice!

  • 10. Friends’ Association

Our families appreciate the small class sizes, targeted individual support programmes for various talents, and the fact that there are no class cancellations due to teacher absences. We also offer high-quality extracurricular care provided by highly qualified staff.

To ensure we can maintain this, the school relies on financial support from the Friends’ Association, which we kindly ask all families to join. The monthly membership fee is based on the family’s gross income and will be 0.31% of the income from two years prior to the current school year. You can find more information here.

We are happy to help you.

Do you have questions about our school, our nursery or the registration process? We will be delighted to assist you with any queries.
